The story and serving suggestions

From the vineyards of Rivittavoli on Monte Somma, in the heart of the Vesuvius National Park at 500 m a.s.l., comes a Caprettone that tells the sunniest and most Mediterranean side of the territory. The nose releases luminous citrus notes and ripe apricot, then opens up to white wildflowers and a hint of wet stone that marks its volcanic origin. The sip is rich yet lively, smooth, with a freshness that extends the palate and a precise saline trail, for a clean and savory finish that invites a second glass. Perfect to uncork when the table smells of the sea: serve at 10–12 °C in a large glass to enjoy its elegant texture and clear Vesuvian minerality.

Recommended pairings

Perfect with cod and stockfish, fish in general. Also excellent with mixed fried seafood, raw and marinated fish, mozzarella and fresh cheeses, white pizza. Paired with Nero Vesuviano Preserves (Piennòlo, friarielli, creams) it enhances the minerality and freshness of the sip.

Why Nero Vesuviano:

Chosen because it expresses Vesuvius with clarity and finesse: Rivittavoli, Monte Somma, 500 m a.s.l., volcanic soils and vinification in steel tanks for a clean and mineral profile. On the nose, citrus, apricot and white flowers; on the palate, it is rich yet slender, with freshness and a saline trail that reflect our manifesto “Mineral. Elegant. Gourmet.”
