The story and serving suggestions

A crisp and gastronomic Vesuvian Piedirosso: it comes from grapes grown in the Vesuvius National Park, on black sands and lapilli that impart an unmistakable mineral tension to the wine. Traditional red vinification in steel tanks preserves the fragrance and purity of the fruit. In the glass, it is luminous ruby; on the nose, it opens with a floral and fruity bouquet: the typical geranium of the varietal, crisp cherry and currant, touches of pomegranate, and a smoky trace in the tones of graphite.

On the palate, it is subtle and juicy, with vibrant freshness that lightens the drink and delicate tannins perfectly integrated. The saline-mineral trail extends the sip and leads to a clean, precise finish, with returns of red fruit and fine spice that encourage a second glass. Serve at 16–18 °C in a medium-sized glass; a brief decanting extends its aromas without losing its momentum.

Suggested pairings

Perfect with tomato sauces, Eggplant Parmesan, and mushroom risotto; it also works very well with pizza (Margherita/Marinara/Diavola), Neapolitan ragù, roasted white meats, sausage and friarielli, and platters of cured meats and young cheeses.

Why Nero Vesuviano

We chose it because it is Piedirosso as we understand it: territorial, clean, gastronomic. It comes from vineyards in the Vesuvius National Park and bears the DOP Vesuvio on its label; in the cellar, steel vinification preserves the clear fruit and bright aromas—geranium, cherry, small red fruits—without overcomplication. In the mouth, it is fresh and smooth, with fine tannins and a mineral/graphite character that tells the story of the volcano; the slight saline trail lengthens the sip and invites another glass.
